Job Description


Insight Global is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join a team in Carrolton, Texas in the oil field services industry. This person will be at the direction of a Lead Engineer or Project Manager, assist in the analysis, modification, and design of products and services for assigned projects, which require a working knowledge of materials, processes, components, and their applications. They will prepare design documentation, calculations and assembly and test specifications. Additionally they will Incorporate Reliability, HSE and Quality analysis techniques during the and documentation process. Specifically they will be working on new product development for downhole tools specifically sand control screens. They will be setting up materials, drawing in SolidWorks, writing test procedure, running test reports and tests to qualify tools. They will be using SolidWorks and Microsoft Office products. This role will be in office 8am-5pm M-F.


Job Function:

  • Assist in the analysis, modification, and design of products and services for assigned projects, which require a working knowledge of materials, processes, components, and their applications.
  • Prepare design documentation, calculations and Assembly and test specifications.
  • Incorporate Reliability, HSE and Quality analysis techniques during the and documentation process.
  • Completion tools/oil tools and know the environment they are going in
  • 5 days in office, Monday - Friday from 8-5PM CST.
