Join our team as a Senior Mechanical Engineer and lead the development of next-gen commercial cooking equipment. Drive projects from concept to market, collaborating with R&D, marketing, manufacturing, and quality teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and execute complex product development projects.
- Collaborate with R&D, marketing, manufacturing, and quality teams to bring innovative products to market on time and on budget.
- Lead engineering design for commercial appliances requiring integrated ventilation and fire suppression accommodation.
- Incorporate manufacturing input in new product developments to improve design effectiveness and reliability.
- Design recirculating ventilation meeting NFPA 96 requirements using fire suppression system experience.
- Utilize CFD, thermal modeling, and airflow simulations to enhance and optimize design performance before prototyping.
- Develop prototype strategies to validate airflow, heat, and suppression system clearance requirements.
- Prepare and document product design through bills of material, drawings, and change notifications.
- Proficiently generate drawings and models using Wildfire and CREO, as well as Autodesk Inventor.
- Collaborate with Operations to build product cost models and manage product costs throughout development.
- Provide technical support for project execution timelines and ensure quality and performance targets are met for new product launches.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Controls, or related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in a related Engineering field.
- Experience with 3D modeling/drawings; familiarity with Wildfire and/or CREO. Autodesk Inventor is a plus!
- Released at least two or more product families and capable of multi-tasking under pressure.
- In-depth knowledge of commercial cooking appliance design and application is a plus.
- Familiarity with mechanical and electronic control systems and wiring harnesses.
- Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment, test stands, and instrumentation.
- Fundamental understanding of Engineering principles.
- Self-starter with a hands-on approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word.
- Experience in sheet metal design is a significant advantage.
