Our client is a well-respected, locally owned engineering company in Austin seeking a Mechanical Engineer PE / PM with HVAC and/or plumbing design experience to join their expanding team. Skills

Mechanical Engineering degree with a PE license (Professional Engineer)
Experience with HVAC and/or plumbing design work on various project types (e.g., commercial, multifamily, K-12 schools, municipal buildings, healthcare)
Proficiency in Revit as the primary CAD system
Proficiency in AutoCAD
Project management experience (preferred)
Familiarity with HVAC modeling programs such as TRACE700, CHVAC7.0, and/or AIRMaster (big plus)
Ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders

Responsibilities

Calculate, design, and generate AutoCAD and/or Revit files and construction documents for MEP engineering needs
Manage projects, establish schedules, assign resources, monitor performance, and ensure projects stay on time and within budget
Organize mechanical engineering documents and maintain project schedules
Review mechanical design submittals and address issues in the field as needed
Generate and present project status updates to various audiences
Develop new business with existing and new clients through relationship building

Qualifications

PE license (Professional Engineer)
Relevant experience in HVAC and/or plumbing design
Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD
Experience managing projects preferred

Education Requirements

Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
