Mechanical Engineer

Contract role

Must be able to work on a W2

Onsite in Weston, FL


Responsibilities:

Design & Development

  • Design and develop components for medical devices, including plastic parts, enclosures, and cable assemblies.
  • Turn design requirements into detailed engineering specs and system-level solutions.
  • Solve design problems and make improvements with minimal supervision.

Compliance & Documentation

  • Follow industry and regulatory standards in design and testing.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation, such as Design History Files.
  • Use design controls and risk management in line with quality system procedures.

Team & Project Work

  • Work independently and manage priorities across multiple tasks.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring products from concept to production.
  • Stay organized and detail-focused in a fast-paced environment.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar field.
  • 2+ years of mechanical design experience, ideally in the medical device industry.
  • Experience with 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo).
  • Strong skills in designing for manufacturability and working with electro-mechanical systems.
  • Understanding of FDA and ISO standards is a plus.
  • Self-motivated with good problem-solving and communication skills.
