Key Responsibilities:
- Design analog and digital circuits, including high-speed and low-noise systems
- Perform schematic capture and collaborate on PCB layout and design reviews
- Select and integrate components: microcontrollers, FPGAs, ADCs/DACs, sensors, etc.
- Ensure compliance with IEC 60601-1, ISO 13485, and EMC/EMI standards
- Support prototyping, bring-up, debugging, and system-level integration
- Work cross-functionally with mechanical, software, and systems engineering teams
- Document designs and support technical files for regulatory submissions (FDA, CE)
Qualifications:
- B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering or related field
- 3-8 years of experience in circuit board / PCB design (preferably for medical devices or other regulated products)
- Proficient in Altium, OrCAD, or similar schematic/layout tools
- Solid understanding of signal integrity, grounding, and power design best practices
- Experience with IEC 60601-1, EMC, and electrical safety standards is a strong plus
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and documentation skills
Preferred Experience:
- Background in medical imaging, diagnostics, or wearable health tech
- Experience designing products through FDA Class II/III or ISO 13485 processes
- Knowledge of design transfer and working with contract manufacturers
