Job Description:


Solstice Consulting Group is seeking a Project Process Engineer Desalination for a chemical-based oil & gas client. Role can be based in either Midland, Texas or Houston, Texas. Role is a hybrid of office and field operations work with up to 50% travel. Relocation assistance is available for this role.



Bachelors Degree in Chemical Engineering and 10+ years experience in process engineering, wastewater management and oil & gas chemicals


Expertise in desalination and project management required


Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma (LSS) principles required


7+ years experience in onshore oil & gas including field operations and engineering


Base salary of $145k - $175k DOE plus bonus opportunity and excellent benefits



Responsibilities:


As a Project Process Engineer, you will work closely with the team to advance and strengthen the companys Desalination Solutions, an end-to-end water treatment and desalination solution for re-use and mineral extraction applications for produced water from oil and gas wells.



Develop new and existing processes from concept to the finished operating process within Operations


Capable of developing PFD drawing and producing material and energy balances for all new or existing Operations


Capable of using CAD programs to build or modify line drawings


Capable of performing complex chemical engineering calculations


Works with R&D, Operations, Sales and all related teams to fully understand scope and to provide both guidance and expertise as needed for new and existing products


As project lead, will be responsible for defining scope or work, building cost model (OPEX and CAPEX), acquiring equipment, writing procedures/ test plans, assembling and directing construction/commissioning team, conducting start up, and turning over the operational project to regional management team


Good communication skills are a must including capability of writing EOD and solid presentation skills


Provide training that will aid in developing others on process improvements


Become a team player working along all levels of the Organization



Requirements:


Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering and 10+ years of active process/project experience in Oil and Gas, Wastewater, or Industrial Water Treatment


Experience working in field operations at various locations


Significant experience in desalination projects and processes


Lean experience strongly desired Lean Six Sigma (LSS), Yellow, Green, Black Belt


Up to 50% travel as required
