Job Description:


We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our innovative team in Delano, MN. This role involves the independent design, development, testing, and enhancement of mechanical components and systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background, an aptitude for problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to support both product development and manufacturing.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop mechanical systems and components using CAD tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, CREO, and AutoCAD Inventor.

  • Conduct engineering analyses including CFD, FEA, thermal, stress, and tolerance analysis.

  • Lead medium-to-complex engineering projects with limited supervision.

  • Prepare and maintain comprehensive engineering documentation, including drawings, BOMs, and specifications.

  • Evaluate materials and processes to meet performance, cost, and durability targets.

  • Collaborate with electrical, software, and manufacturing teams to ensure product integrity.

  • Support the testing and validation of prototypes and final products.

  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues during development and in production environments.

  • Mentor junior engineers and review their design work.

  • Ensure compliance with relevant standards such as ASME, ISO, and UL.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • 5-8 years of experience in mechanical design and product development.

  • Proficiency in 3D CAD software and simulation tools.

  • Solid understanding of manufacturing methods, including CNC machining, injection molding, and 3D printing.

  • Familiarity with GD&T and drafting standards.

  • Strong analytical and communication skills.

  • Sheet Metal Manufacturing Experience

  • Experience in project management and leading technical teams is advantageous.

  • Ability to conduct routine quality inspections throughout the production process, including in-process and final inspections.

  • Maintain documentation of all inspections and address potential issues.

  • Propose process improvements and assist with problem resolution.
