Mechanical Engineer III(Key Personnel) - NSWCPD HM&E Engineering Support
 Location: Philadelphia, PA (with potential CONUS/OCONUS travel)
 Clearance Required: Active DoD Secret (minimum)
 Position Type: Full time, contingent upon contract award 
Scope of Work: The Mechanical Engineer III will provide engineering support services for upgrading HM&E systems and deploying advanced technologies that improve system availability, increase reliability, and reduce maintenance and workload requirements for shipboard machinery systems and components. Responsibilities will span the engineering lifecycle-from systems analysis and modernization planning to troubleshooting, testing, and field support-on active/reserve U.S. Navy ships, FMS platforms, U.S. Coast Guard vessels, MSC assets, land-based test facilities, and other government platforms. 
Key Responsibilities:- Perform systems engineering analysis to integrate control systems with new or modified shipboard systems.
 - Provide engineering support for troubleshooting and resolving hardware/software issues at Land Based Engineering Sites (LBES) and fleet test facilities.
 - Support modernization and sustainment efforts for auxiliary, fluid, and machinery control systems.
 - Upgrade cybersecurity features of current and future control system variants.
 - Develop and implement cost-effective solutions to address obsolete hardware.
 - Contribute to development of Ship Change Documents (SCDs), technical manuals, and related lifecycle management documentation.
 - Support On-Site Installation Coordination (OSIC) for shipboard system alterations.
 - Collaborate with NAVSEA, NSWC, shipyards, Regional Maintenance Centers, and Type Command organizations.
 
 Required Qualifications:- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited college/university (or a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering).
 - Minimum of five (5) years of Naval technical experience in Control Systems and Solutions, including:
 - Machinery
 - Auxiliary systems
 - Electrical interfaces
 - Input/output devices
 - Sensors and instrumentation
 
- Working knowledge of Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA), Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Naval Shipyards, Regional Maintenance Centers, and Type Commander organizations.
 
 Desired Attributes:- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in control system engineering.
 - Familiarity with Navy modernization processes and shipboard installation practices.
 - Experience with system cybersecurity integration and lifecycle sustainment.
 - Ability to support both CONUS and OCONUS assignments as required
