Role Summary
Seeking an experienced Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in utilities and plant engineering, preferably within the paper, plastics, or packaging industry (cups, plates, lids, etc.). The ideal candidate will support the design, maintenance, and optimization of mechanical systems and utilities across multiple production sites.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain mechanical systems and process equipment.
Perform root-cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
Lead mechanical upgrades and plant improvement initiatives.
Collaborate with electrical and automation teams to ensure integrated system performance.
Support equipment installation, commissioning, and maintenance documentation.
Ensure compliance with mechanical and safety standards (ASME, OSHA).
Required Skills
7+ years of experience in mechanical and utilities engineering within industrial/manufacturing settings.
Strong knowledge of piping systems, pumps, valves, heat exchangers, and compressors.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Plant 3D.
Experience with plant utilities (steam, compressed air, HVAC, chilled water).
Nice-to-Have
Experience in paper, plastic, or packaging production lines.
Knowledge of energy efficiency, preventive maintenance systems, and Lean tools.
Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
