We are looking for a Sr. Mechanical Engineer to start working with a client of ours in Bessemer, AL as soon as possible. This candidate should have a background in working on healthcare projects. Required by Client Bachelor's degree with 7 to 10 years of experience in the HVAC engineering industry. Responsible for designing HVAC and plumbing systems for facilities to meet client project requirements. Engages in the design of HVAC and plumbing distribution systems and equipment for a variety of projects, collaborating with engineers, architects, and detailers to integrate components into a unified facility model. Conducts calculations, studies, and analyses of HVAC and plumbing systems and equipment to develop design solutions, including load calculations, ductwork sizing, and sizing of domestic water and drainage systems. Responsible for laying out domestic water and drainage system piping and creating isometric diagrams. Designs ductwork layouts and hydronic system piping, along with air and/or water flow diagrams. Assists in project production, including the creation of design drawings, computer modeling, and detailing scopes of work for manufacturing and construction.
