Sr Advanced Electrical Engineer Location: Clearwater, FL -Onsite Experience: 5-10 Years Client: Confidential Responsibilities: Apply experience in analog and power conversion circuits to conceptualize, design and develop power supply systems. Responsible for leading or participating on teams that design power supplies for commercial, military and space products that operate in very harsh environments. Use analytical skills to perform power architecture trade studies, simulations, worst-case analysis, and generate design artifacts per hardware design process. Interact with customers, Chief Engineers and Systems engineers to define power requirements and leverage circuit design reuse. Support proposals and quotation efforts for analog and power supply developments. By collaborating with customers and broader engineering teams, influence electrical design directions and methodology developments. Leverage advanced tools and simulation techniques to deliver high impact business results while acting as a technical leader and coach for other engineers. Qualifications MUST HAVE: Qualified applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Electrical Engineering or a related field and 8 years of experience in power supply design. Must have 7 years of experience with the following: experience in power supply design for aerospace products; extensive experience with design capture tools (Siemens/Mentor DxDesigner and Expedition); expertise in AC/DC and DC/DC power converter topologies and power architectures; proficiency in circuit simulation and analytics tools like LTSpice, PSpice, TINA-TI or similar; hands on experience troubleshooting analog and/or power supply circuits; analog and power circuit worst-case analysis; magnetics design experience. Must have 5 years of experience with the following: project management skills including managing budget, schedule, and scope; experience leading individuals and technical teams through the design process; and experience mentoring junior level engineers. Up to 5% domestic travel required. Employer will accept 2 years of experience in lieu of a Bachelor's degree.
