Charter Aarrowcast is hiring a Process Engineer III - New Product Development!

Charter Aarrowcast is a leading provider of innovative cast metal solutions. Charter Aarrowcast produces ductile and gray iron castings for customers in various industries. From government and defense customers to agricultural and heavy truck equipment manufacturers, and an array of companies who need pumps, valves and compressors, Charter Aarrowcast works with its customers to create custom castings that are both efficient and cost-effective. Job Summary:

Reporting to the Product Development and Innovation Manager, in this role you'll provide technical leadership to improve safety, quality, yield, and throughput across manufacturing operations. Partner with cross-functional teams to introduce new products, materials, and processes-boosting cost competitiveness, resolving issues, and driving smarter, more efficient operations.

Position specifics:
  • Location: Shawano WI
  • Travel: Up to 5-15% travel for customer visits
Key responsibilities:
  • Lead corrective and preventive action teams to resolve customer complaints, internal quality issues, and drive Continuous Improvement (CI) initiatives.
  • Provide technical support for operations, including troubleshooting and guiding process improvement teams.
  • Identify, justify, and manage medium-to-large CI projects, including capital projects.
  • Reduce process variation using Process Control methodologies and establish Standard Operating Procedures for new or modified processes.
  • Champion CI culture through leadership, coaching, and recognition of accomplishments, fostering teamwork and engagement.
  • Collect and analyze process data, track key operational metrics, and remove barriers to project success.
  • Ensure compliance with Environmental, Quality, and Safety Management System requirements.
What you'll need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or related field.
  • Five plus years' proven track record of leading safety, quality, and process improvement teams within a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated success in the application of lean/CI concepts in a manufacturing environment.
  • Technical skills in manufacturing processes and methods including flow, layout, assembly, and production equipment.
  • Experience with the Value stream approach as a basis for Continuous Improvement.
  • Proven project management including Kaizen projects.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Self-starter with strong analytical skills.
  • Capacity to work in process improvement teams as a teacher, leader, and as a member.
  • Knowledge of Statistical Process Control (SPC), PFMEA, process control plans, process flow diagrams, and part routings.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong 2D/3D CAD software skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office products.
Nice to haves:
  • Ten plus years' proven track record of leading safety, quality, and process improvement teams within a metals or metal forming manufacturing environment.
  • Certifications in Six Sigma Green Belt or above from a recognized lean source.
  • Experience with AutoCad and AutoCad Inventor.
  • Experience in automation and controls.
  • Experience in the conversion/manufacturing of metal components.
  • Proficiency with statistical and flow charting/process mapping software.
  • Additive manufacturing experience
