Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Lead Electrical Engineer based in Calgary, AB. The Lead Electrical Engineer will oversee electrical design, manage power distribution projects, and lead teams in the development and implementation of electrical systems. Responsibilities include implementing engineering practices, mentoring junior team members, ensuring project timelines are met, and maintaining compliance with relevant standards and regulations.

Electrical Systems:
Power system modelling and analysis
Power system protection and control schemes development
Single Line Diagrams and Electrical Schematic Diagrams development
Substation engineering and design
Power distribution system engineering and design
Hazardous Area Classification study and report preparation
Raceway, lighting, and equipment design
Electric Heat Tracing engineering and design
Equipment specification
Material Requisition development
Control Systems:
I/O Schematics/Loop Diagrams - development and production
Control panel layouts and control power distribution - development and production
I/O assignment management
Network Infrastructure
SCADA systems interface
Control system documentation development (Shutdown Keys, Control Narratives, etc.)
General:
Team mentoring and oversight
Drawing package development and checking
Qualifications:
Degree, diploma or certificate in a relevant engineering or design field
APEGA membership required
US engineering license(s) considered an asset for engineering roles on US projects
Minimum 5 years' leadership experience in EPC field
Site construction or operations experience are considered an asset
