Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and development of aerospace-grade electro-mechanical components, including high-power contactors and magnetic coils
- Conduct root cause investigations and failure analysis for field and production issues
- Perform electromagnetic and thermal simulations (e.g., ANSYS) to validate design performance
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturability, reduce costs, and enhance reliability
- Support legacy product upgrades, obsolescence management, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Develop and review technical documentation including drawings, BOMs, test procedures, and qualification plans
- Ensure designs meet aerospace environmental compliance and industry standards
- Provide technical input for proposals and support new business development
Senior Electro-Mechanical Engineer Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related discipline
- 8-12 years of experience in electro-mechanical design and development (aerospace preferred)
- Proficient in 3D modeling (Autodesk Inventor), magnetic and thermal analysis, and engineering documentation
- Strong background in coil, solenoid, or actuator design and materials selection for high-reliability environments
- Hands-on experience with qualification testing and root cause analysis
